China Electronics Import & Export Corp. (CEIEC) is established as a national foreign trader, with the approval of the State Council in Apr. 1980. After thirty years’ operation, the business scope of CEIEC has been widely extended and it has evolved into a comprehensive enterprise. Beyond international trade, CEIEC’s operation also covers overseas engineering, tendering, ship business, defense electronics, exhibition service, and modern logistics. Through honesty and diligence, CEIEC has built wide-ranging cooperation with 142 countries and regions all over the world. It has made ample contribution to the development of Chinese electronics industry in the process of China’s reform and opening up.

CEIEC is honorably entitled to a number of A-grade quality certificates in contract of world bidding and trading, international engineering project, tendering, exhibition and advertisement. At the end of 2009, the company's total assets attained RMB 14.256 billion; sales revenue reached RMB 14.245billion.

WORLD TRADE
World trade is a conventional core business of CEIEC. Up to 2009, the accumulated turnover of import and export reached USD 45.12 billion. CEIEC is certificated as the Grade-A trader by the Ministry of Commerce for State foreign aid project. It has been the top rank company for Chinese government’s mechanical and electrical foreign aid projects for two consecutive years.

OVERSEAS ENGINEERING
In the year of 1999, at the call of the national “Going global” strategy, CEIEC officially entered the field of overseas engineering. In 2008, CEIEC has been listed as one of the top 225 International Contractors by ENR. At present, CEIEC’s overseas engineering department has the comprehensive capacity of the following:

• Designing and supervising
• Procurement of complete equipments
• Project construction and management.

DEFENCE ELECTRONICS
The defense electronics business mainly involves the import and export of electronics equipments which are applied to the national defense. CEIEC has the ability to design, integrate, and build nation-wide defense system. Through the supportive effort of CEIEC, China Electronics International Engineering Institute was founded in 2009, which is playing a vital role in the field of top-level defense electronics system design and integration.

SHIP BUSINESS
Ship business of CEIEC includes the manufacture and trade of various types of ships and marine operations. From 2005 to 2009, CEIEC has exported 54 vessels with the total turnover of USD 1.48 billion. At present, we secure ship export contracts amounting to USD 1.13 billion.

TENDERING
In these years, CEIEC has established the highest level of qualification in national tendering areas through its professional services, honest reputation, and strong technical supporting capabilities. It has developed an exceptional corporation image in the industry, and has completed more than 2000 tendering projects with a total value of RMB 40 billion.

CEIEC’s qualification includes the following:
• Grade-A Certificate for Government Procurement Tendering issued by the Ministry of Finance,
• Grade-A Certificate for Central Investment Projects Tendering issued by the National Development and Reform Commission
• Grade-A Certificate for International Tendering issued by the Ministry of Commerce
• Grade-A Certificate for Government Tendering issued by the Finance Bureau of Beijing.

CEICE successfully implemented an ERP system in 2004, which had passed the ISO9000 quality management system certification in 2005. CEIEC was selected as one of the Most Admired Company in China by Fortune China magazine in 2008.
